Wellbeing 9 Life Management
The Wellbeing 9 is one of our programmes that takes a more holistic approach to improving wellbeing. We manage our countries, our schools, companies and sports teams so why not look at our lives in a similar way.
The programme consists of nine parts within the categories Active, Balance and Community. The idea being if we can just make small positive changes to the nine parts, it will improve our mind, body and breath and affect, in a positive manner, your overall wellbeing.

Yang 9 Forward Facing Form
The Yang 9 Forward Facing Form is a special tai chi form that we created that helps you to experience the benefits of tai chi as quickly as possible. It can be looped for a longer flow and even mixed with our other creations, the Sun 9 and Chen 9 forms.
The movements are all forward facing so it is very easy to follow along with the instructor and on screens. You only need a small space to practice the Yang 9, taking only two steps in any direction. This set of movements will train your muscle memory and quickly feeling the qi(energy).

Hi, it's us, Marian and Pete
and we would love to share our passion for all things tai chi and wellbeing with you.
Nice things that people have said...
"Tai Chi has been great for my autistic son. We were driving somewhere and his anxiety was increasing - without prompting or supports, he began using his Tai Chi deep breathing exercise. It's great to see my son linking skills learnt to everyday life. Thanks, Marian and Pete for your Tai Chi programme."
PARENT
Our clients loved the balance and peace associated with the sessions. Amongst all the chaos we could find our inner peace and quiet.
GROUP LEADER - DAY CENTRE FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES
“He had such a great time and went to bed early without having seizures. This was a great breakthrough. :)”
PARENT
“The difference Tai Chi has made to our pupils and staff is tangible. The professional delivery of programmes/sessions by Tai Chi Earth’s experts, Marian and Pete, has impacted upon the physical and emotional equilibrium of so many individuals. An essential and highly recommended addition to daily life - Thank you.”

Frequently Asked Questions... that we made up!
That’s a pretty large question but to describe it in its simplest terms, they both involve movements that are done to a set of principles that combine the mind, body and breath.
Many studies have shown that doing regular tai chi and qigong has many positive physical improvements on your health and wellness. What makes this form of exercise special is the internal nature and mindfulness that is combined with the physical movement which provides a fantastic boost to your overall wellbeing.
Yes, yes and more yes. Most of us will have mental health challenges in our lives at some point. Practicing tai chi and qigong can give you improved mindfulness and wellbeing strategies which can help you balance your emotions and help with your self-regulation. Our programme pathways can match what you need in the moment and help you to find focus, energy and calm.
We will always be working on improvements for not only the accessibility of our website but also making our content inclusive and fun for all. We make use of captions, audio description, low stimulation, sensory and other techniques where we can. Our movements are offered with adaptations and simplifications and because tai chi has an internal nature, the mind can do some of the movement that the body can’t do.
While we will always say check with your medical professionals before starting any new exercise programme, our content is quite gentle and we have/suggest modifications so you can stay within your own comfort zone. We focus on developing abilities rather than thinking what we can’t do. We have often found carers are surprised in discovering abilities found through doing the different tai chi activities for the participants.
Whether you are a carer in your home or it is your occupation, your wellbeing is important, not only for yourself but also the people that you care for. At times, as you know, caring for others can be stressful and draining, the Tai Chi Mix programme can help you to look after yourself, take a break and find moments of calm in your day.
Yes, tai chi for kids is great. We have loads of content and different styles of videos that can help develop their physical and emotional wellbeing. There are the Tai Chi Cats, Chi, Geo and Aqua – our best instructors and we have the added motivation of collecting steps along the pathways to get to the next level and also some fun games.
Wellbeing is for everyone and our content can be enjoyed whatever your age and ability. We have had adults of all ages find something new in our programmes – whether they have done tai chi before or they are just starting out on their journey. Our focus is on being in the moment and enjoying the holistic nature of tai chi play.
We are far from being masters of tai chi ourselves. Our programmes are all about using simplified movements inspired by tai chi and qigong – albeit sticking to the principles as much as possible, so participants can quickly gain some of the benefits and feelings of practicing tai chi. We see tai chi practice as a journey that hasn’t got a particular destination, it is a lifestyle.
We produce a lot of our content for children and for people with disabilities. However, wellbeing is best centred around the whole family and we have lots of great content for adults too. We believe tai chi should be for everyone and we can grow our wellbeing together.

Yes, it works great for participants with learning difficulties from both an educational progress and a physical/emotional development perspective. The programmes can be accessed and followed easily in classrooms and in halls, the movements do not need much space and you will be able to fit the mini sessions into your day for transition times, breaks and activity sessions.
Hopefully we have got you covered – if you do have any other questions, you can get in touch with us on the Tai Chi Earth Contact page.
